THE MAGIC TRAIL LIGHTS UP THE KRKONOŠE FOREST

The illumination of the 1,511-metre-long trail, including the 43-metre-high tower, took 14 days. "This year we installed 150,000 light bulbs, which required over 5,000 metres of cables to connect them. We do everything ourselves during working hours. Just the installation itself is something we can enjoy because we know the result will be worth it. The magical atmosphere of the forest into which the trail lights up every evening, combined with the black mountain darkness and the stars shining in the evening sky, is something unique, magical and unrepeatable," says Miroslav Matas, director of the Krkonoše Treetop Trail, adding: "For those who have visited us in previous years, we have prepared a number of novelties so that they can experience something new again and see the trail and the evening forest differently." The illumination of the trail itself will be complemented, and will add a very special atmosphere to the occasion, by illuminated 3D and 2D larger-than-life models of forest animals. 

Visitors can experience the Magic Treetop Trail in Janské Lázně from 18 January until 16 March 2025.
